edsel Dope Is Xero Theory Confirmed?oce@min
If you need some visual assurance first, check out the music videos for “Hollow”, “All These Years”, and “Bring You Down”. Just about everything on here is some combination of irritatingly repetitive, blatantly incomplete, or grossly unprofessional, and the thing that gets me is that it’s not like ambient music or dungeon synth is any sort of rocket science.
In his press release, Eisen claims to have brought Edsel into the fold for that very role. The band are influenced by metal and industrial bands like Ministry and Fear Factory. As previous rumors suggested, Static-X’s mask wearing, mystery vocalist “Xer0” is none other than Dope frontman Edsel Dope. His identity was revealed by Metal A Day, who shared photos of “Xer0” with the same neck tattoo as Edsel.
Who Took Over For Wayne Static?
Instead his solo band would tour under the name Static-X. In June 2013, Static announced Static-X’s official break-up. Despite breaking up the band, Static still performed the band’s music under his own name and solo band in 2014, most notably playing the Wisconsin Death Trip album in its entirety to celebrate the album’s fifteenth anniversary. Cannibal, released on April 3, 2007, marked the studio return of their original guitarist, Koichi Fukuda. One of the new tracks called “No Submission” is available on the Saw III soundtrack. The full track has also been released on Static-X’s MySpace page. “Cannibal” was released as a digital download single at iTunes.
But then the group’s surviving original members — guitarist Koichi Fukuda, bassist Tony Campos and drummer Ken Jay – re-formed the group and hit the road with a masked singer going only by the stage name XerO. The reconstituted unit has a new studio album, Project Regeneration, set for release on May 29th, which will feature posthumous lead vocals by Static on virtually every song, uses stems from unreleased and unfinished tracks the producers of the album uncovered during the process. They’re hardly even metal-adjacent but for their sizable contribution to the 70′s prog rock movement that such a huge proportion of metalheads are into, a new Kansas album I suppose counts as on-topic for this blog. The band still sticks to that core violin-spiced prog rock that characterized their iconic 70′s albums, but the structuring and soloing style are a bit more modernized than the band’s past work, and by modern I mean what Dream Theater sounded like in the 2000′s. Make no mistake, though, it’s an improvement on The Prelude Implicit, and it highlights the band’s talents and natural grandiose tendencies far more than the radio rock singles they’re most widely known for, and the cinematic bridge of the opening title track is sturdy proof of this. I have been pretty harsh on The Acacia Strain in the past; they haven’t come up much on my blog, but the times they have, I feel I’ve been a little overly critical of their use of elements that I’ve perceived as excessive that they’ve used to forge their recognizable sound. And Slow Decay indeed has The Acacia Strain back on track after the stuttering of the past two releases.
How Did Wayne Lineker Make His Money?
He also has played bass in Soulfly and is still a member of Asesino. The tour’s final stops in Santa Ana and Los Angeles also promote the yet-to-be-released album Project Regeneration, which uses vocal tracks recorded years before Static’s untimely death. Eisenalso revealed in his press release that he took issue with his edsel dope xero share of the writing credits for a handful of the songs featured on “Project Regeneration, Vol. If you are a diehard Static-X or Wayne fan, or just need some music to run on your treadmill for 5 minutes, what are you holding off on? This album will take you back years so you can experience some musical metal euphoria!
- April 27, 2020– Platinum selling International recording artists STATIC-X have filed a police report with the LAPD, siting that their warehouse space was recently robbed of nearly 200K worth of touring equipment during the Corona Virus Lockdown.
- The production is thick and nasty as is usually best for Boris, but the writing on this record is just kind of absent-minded for such a stylistically varied project.
- It’s incredible how far some people will go to get attention or clicks, so let me remind you how easy it is to slap a little tribal neck tattoo onto someone in Photoshop.
- Edsel has also said a number of times how much he still respects Wayne, hence being relegated to the background in the “Hollow” and “All These Years” videos.
- Now, Flynn has issued a new statement to extend an olive branch to Edsel.

After searching for members in Chicago,United States, Static and Jay decided to go to Los Angeles to continue their search. There they met Tony Campos from the Mexican death metal band Asesino, and Koichi Fukuda, completing the band’s original line-up. Static-X signed with Warner Brothers Records in early 1998. The album continues to heat up on songs like “Terminator Oscillator” “Accelerate” and “Bring You Down,” but it is really songs such as “Something Of My Own” and “Otsego Placebo” that kind of take you back to albums like “Shadow Zone” or “Start A War” stylistically. Fast forward to 2018, a new project was being formed by his former Static-X band members; bassist Tony Campos, guitarist Koichi Fukuda, and drummer Ken Jay. I love playing music and I will continue to promote my band and am grateful for whatever level of success it brings. Everyone uses past associations to promote current projects.
This tour is having a second leg with the same bands from November to December. Alot of these shows will sell out like this particular one did months in advance. The new Static-X singer goes by the name of XerO and wears a mask to make him look like original singer Wayne Static. Earlier this year the band announced that they’d put together a summer North American tour in honor of the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough albumWisconsin Death Trip. The tour also features Devildriver and Dope. That’s important because the rumor is that Edsel Dope is actually XerO. Whether it is or if it’s someone else playing this character as a tribute to Wayne, he was recently interviewed by Kerrang! As previously reported, ex-Static-X guitarist Tripp Eisen, who previously served prison time for sexually assaulting two underage girls in 2005, recently issued a press release accusing the band of “patently deceptive songwriting credits” on their new album “Project Regeneration, Vol.
In a follow up post he was quoted “It’s doubtful I will do anything with Static-X for the next couple years” leading fans to interpret that the band is still together and just on hiatus. Additionally, in a recent interview, Wayne Static announced his side-project called “Pighammer”. The chorus of the song “Destroyer” was used in an advertisement promoting the latest video game in the WWE franchise, Smackdown vs. Raw 2008. Static-X quickly began work on their third album Shadow Zone, this time with Eisen performing and writing on the album.
While The Masked Singer is all the rage on TV, a masked singer is helping to keep Static-X alive in the stead of late frontman Wayne Static as his final unreleased performances begin to surface. Was there ever any doubt that ‘Xer0,’ the highly unsettling Wayne Static cosplayer currently touring with Static-X , is, in fact, lead Dope dope Edsel Dope? Dope are on every single one of Static-X’s tour dates, the same way Black Label Society used to be on every Ozzfest. Also, pretending to be Wayne Static every night is probably a nice change of pace from pretending to be a car. During the recording sessions for “Project Regeneration”, STATIC-X claimed in a press release that one of its producers uncovered several additional unreleased and unfinished tracks, many of which contained isolated vocal performances by Wayne Static. Because of this supposed find, the new STATIC-X album now features lead vocals by Wayne on virtually every song. Both volumes are being worked on by longtime STATIC-X producer Ulrich Wild.

Now, Flynn has issued a new statement to extend an olive branch to Edsel. You have said that I’m trying to attach my name to Static-X. I did alot with Static-X, wrote the #2 biggest single, ‘The Only‘ and now my songs are relevant in 2020. You attached yourself to ME because I was friends with Tony Campos who is the creative heir to Static-X. With help from long-time producer of Static X, Ulrich Wild, their seventh studio album will feature brand new Static-X tracks. Rude indeed, as by the time a replacement pressing — minus the offending track — finally hit shops, Xero ‘s credibility was in shambles, and their label insolvent. Do Blackpink write their own lyrics?
Yes, Blackpink does write their own songs but YG doesn’t give them credits for it. In a V-Live, Jennie mentioned that she had a journal/notebook in which she had written many lyrics by herself but one day, she couldn’t find it. Later, she got to know that the staff took it away from her because of YG’s orders.
Funny enough, this is the second time the mystery member of a prominent band has been identified by an exposed tattoo, after Slipknot’s Alessandro Venturella. Well, if there was any doubt, you can now lay that doubt to rest. The Danish ‘zine Metal a Day spotted one of Edsel’s tattoos in a photo of ‘Xer0’ performing. So unless some dude has the same exact ink in the same exact spot as the guy who was already rumored to be the Static-X character, this settles it. In the end, I’m not the type of person to allow others to dictate the narrative of my life or my art, so I’ve decided to also include a picture of me chatting it up, while watching another SOLD OUT Static-X show from the side of the stage the other night. It’s one thing to go on a Scooby-Doo scavenger hunt, or to use photoshop to attempt to prove whatever you are trying to spin, but it’s entirely different when trolls, masquerading as journalists, spew their ignorant, hateful words towards something that is so incredibly personal.
Interview With Dope’s Edsel 9
That is the nature of all in the Entertainment Business. The reunited ‘evil disco’ outfit continue to tour with a frontman identified as ‘Xer0‘ (long rumored to be Dope‘s Edsel Dope) in place of Wayne Static. The band are scheduled to perform at this week’s mini-festival in Ringle, WI. To that end the band’s ‘classic’ lineup of Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda and Ken Jay reunited to work on the tracks. Volume 1 arrived this past Friday, July 10th, while a release date has yet to be announced for the second volume. I think he meant Shinoda wasn’t the household name he is today, I dunno about the second part. “I’m including a candid photo that I snapped of Static-X drummer Ken Jay embracing Wayne’s father, while Tony Campos, Wayne’s mother, Wayne’s siblings and friends share some personal time together.
We include a link to your profile in band openings, to build trust with musicians and help them decide if they will be a good fit. We have only released our first demo not that long ago which is call “Until The End” which was released by “Rundown Records” who we got signed by.
Some Edsel Dope Images
When he was 8 or 9 years old, Rob Bourdon and his brother used to play along to Aerosmith and Faith No More on their parents couch with a pair of drumsticks. In the grand scheme of Machine Head’s career, this EP (and the two non-album singles that preceded it last year) is disappointing filler that does nothing to lift the band out of the dry creative well they’ve found themselves in. “We got our start in LA years ago, so it will be really cool to end this tour playing shows for all our family, friends and fans in Southern Certified Public Accountant California,” says Campos, who stepped away as the bass player for Ministry to put together the Static-X tour.
On Felons and Revolutionaries, Dope’s first album released in 1999, Edsel played and programmed most of the musical instruments. “With most of us in lock down, and those who aren’t locked down, wearing masks in public, apparently it’s a great time to be a thief”, says Static-X drummer Ken Jay. April 27, 2020– Platinum selling International recording artists STATIC-X have filed a police report with the LAPD, siting that their warehouse space was recently robbed of nearly 200K worth of touring equipment during the Corona Virus Lockdown.
Tokyo’s prolific sonic shapeshifters have all but given up on giving up, and I suppose the title of this year’s record summarizes their brief questioning of if they stop making music. When iconic Static-X frontman Wayne Static passed away in 2014, fans had every reason to believe that the band was dead, too. That’s to take away from what an exciting 52 minutes of prog this is, because with such a moderate runtime for such a tight prog album, it’s definitely deserving of the respect of a top album in its field. Brian Charles Ebejer , known professionally as edsel dope, is an American rock singer-songwriter and musician. Bethesda Games finally released Doom Eternal yesterday, complete with its “Death Metal Choir” recorded last year, by composer Mick Gordon! Of course, the soundtrack album is not yet available to purchase separately, but apparently it will be soon.
My heart has been very heavy throughout this process because there is so much love for this band and so many people miss Wayne. This is very personal for me, and I have taken on a tremendous amount of responsibility, which also comes with a lot of pressure. It’s all good, though; I haven’t interpreted any of the pressure in a negative way. I just have followed my heart and have given my best efforts to the cause. There’s a sense from Xer0 that the group will remain active beyond these releases. Speculation ran rampant last October when fans thought they had uncovered Xer0’s identity as Dope singer Edsel Dope, but the latter vocalist stuck a fork in that rumor. Hailing from Italy, Pentesilea Road is a post-progressive metal band that was formed in 2014 as a one man project by the guitarist Vito…
Why was dope by BTS banned?
Dope is one of those songs that inevitably makes any non-fan into an ARMY. However, this song too, is banned from being broadcast in South Korea because of its “vulgar” lyrics, although fans, both Korean and international, have unanimously deemed this judgment to be silly.
With how shitty the world is going, it was nice to have an album that takes you back to a simpler time which included Wayne being alive. You felt his presence throughout the entire album’s existence. Wayne Static and his band were being resurrected from the dead after 20 long years!
You’ve been begging for people to pay attention to you and your new band for 3 years.. Meanwhile, You’ve never even apologized to our metal community for betraying all of our trust, by preying on young, impressionable fan girls for your own selfish perversions. It was 2014 that you talked to Wayne at a point when he was suffering from addiction and he hated every former member of Static-X. Wanting credit for my part in Static-X and successful songs is not being an antagonist; but I will admit that I am kind of a victim….. And you’ve told me how you’ve personally progressed over the years. It takes a lot to trudge through the long path covered in thick snow that this album sets out on, and the lo-fi production often doesn’t help the individual elements that make Im Wald enjoyable stand out, and it can be all too easy to get lost in the homogeneous whitewash of the hazy winter wind. The future of Static-X has yet to be defined, but I’m looking forward to whatever role I may play going forward.
Right now, I am just focused on doing my part to complete all of this new Static-X music for my old friend Wayne, his family and for the fans while we gear up to play these remaining handful of shows that were booked into 2020. Rizzo has launched a new band, Hail the Horns, with Static-X bassist Tony Campos. Edsel has also said a number of times how much he still respects Wayne, hence being relegated to the background in the “Hollow” and “All These Years” videos. Anyone with the nerve to throw virtual tomatoes at a traveling memorial, that has been orchestrated and supported by the family, loved ones, and long-time friends of the deceased should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. I’m not attempting to be a spokesperson for Static-X, but I will share that I have personally met Wayne’s parents and siblings, as they have attended a number of these shows. Wayne is currently on the minds and in the hearts of the metal community in a very unique and special way. His memory / legacy is more celebrated than it has ever been before.
